First report of Maize Chlorotic Mottle Virus (MCMV) in Spain

A new report published in the journal Plant Disease by M.A. Achon and co-authors from the Universidad de Lleida Rovira Roure highlights the first detection of MCMV in Spain. Samples from a range of grass weeds and maize were collected in 2014 and 2015 from north-eastern Spain and tested for the presence of maize chlorotic mottle virus (MCMV), Maize dwarf mosaic virus (MDMV) and Sugarcane mosaic virus (SCMV).
