Tanzania MLN Distribution

Distribution of MLN:

The regional distribution of MLN in 2013 is given in following map (FAO, 2014). MLN is widespread in the Lake zone (Mwanza and Musoma), and Northern Tanzania (Manyara, Arusha, Moshi, Kilimanjaro). Since 2015 spreading into Central Tanzania (Dodoma, Morogoro) (Source: Tanzania Ministry of Agriculture Food Security and Cooperatives, Plant Health Services; G. Mahuku, IITA, 2015). No recorded incidence in Southern Highlands. (Mbeya, Ininga, Ruvuma disease-free) (J. Ndunguru et al MARI, 2016)
